Celebrate the affection and friendship between a child and a pet with My Chihuahua and Me. This original children's song brings a personal, familiar theme into classroom singing and gives young singers a story they can imagine as they learn the music.
Try it with your class: Invite students to draw a real or imaginary animal companion and talk about caring for a pet. Use those ideas to explore expression and storytelling in the song without requiring anyone to have a pet of their own.
Your download includes:
A vocal-guide MP3 to help you teach and learn the song.
An instrumental performance MP3 for rehearsal and singing without recorded vocals.
A lyric-sheet PDF to print or project.
